Despite the rain and cold, DC was a wonderful land to explore with wolf. We spent some days leading up to Christmas walking the city streets.
Washington DC is an easy, walkable place with access via the colourful lines of the metro. The Smithsonian Museums are all worth some hours and are free. We visited the info centre (on Jefferson Drive), bought a popout map (these are truly great, do recommend) and set out.
The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is a must-visit, but it may take you more than a day to truly digest all the information and exhibits.
The city centre itself is littered with incredible monuments, buildings and statues. You can’t walk far without spying a number of these along the way.
It was fun.
